ABOUT MY PROJECT PROPOSAL

I am Meena Ghalley bearing student ID 34947194.The IP address and domain name of my website are 3.27.106.138 and himalayan tours and trek respectively. I propose developing a travel agent website that provides comprehensive travel solutions such as detailed information about destinations, travel tips, hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages for trips to Bhutan. This platform will serve as a one-stop solution for tourists, offering a user-friendly interface, advanced search capabilities, and personalized recommendations based on user preferences and budget constraints.

As part of the website development project, it is crucial to ensure that the server infrastructure is robust, reliable, and scalable to accommodate the expected traffic and data load.

Below is the proposed server specification for hosting the travel agent website:
Server Configuration:
Operating System: Linux (Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS)
Web Server: Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) -Amazon EC2 is a popular option for hosting web servers on AWS. With EC2, we have full control over the server configuration, including the choice of operating system, web server software, and other components.
SSL Certificate: On The Process
Hardware Specifications:
CPU: 4vCPUs(For website development, a CPU with multiple cores and high clock speeds can handle simultaneous tasks efficiently, such as compiling code, running server-side scripts, and handling database queries.)
RAM: 16GB DDR4 RAM (For website development, having enough RAM ensures that development environments and server processes can run smoothly without being bogged down by memory constraints)
Storage: 8 Gib(Storage is crucial for storing website files, databases, and other assets)
Internet: 5 Gbps(A fast and reliable internet connection is vital for accessing online resources).

The above specification is chosen because it is sufficient to hold the data such as images and discription for a small content-based website. Once the customer requirement increases I can increase the storage and bandwidth accordingly.

License:

AWS Intellectual Property License,this Intellectual Property License governs the use of AWS Content and the Services. Capitalized terms used but not defined in this License are defined in the AWS Customer Agreement .
Amazon Web Services Customer Agreement contains the terms and conditions under which customers can use AWS services. While it may not explicitly address specific industries like travel agencies, its provisions are designed to be flexible and applicable across various business contexts, including travel agent websites. AWS responsibilities include providing access to services under the agreement, allowing the use of third-party content, implementing security measures, respecting data privacy preferences, notifying users of changes to services with adequate notice, and informing about alterations to service level agreements with sufficient advance notice. Our responsibilities include complying with the agreement terms and applicable laws, maintaining a single AWS account per email address, and taking full responsibility for all activities conducted under our account. We must ensure that your content and its use comply with policies and laws, and we are accountable for securing and backing up your data appropriately, possibly utilizing encryption. Log-in credentials and private keys are for our internal use only, and we are responsible for actions facilitated by end users, ensuring their compliance with the agreement, and suspending access in case of violations. By adhering to the terms and conditions outlined in the agreement, travel agencies can leverage AWS services to build scalable, secure, and compliant websites that meet the needs of their customers and business objectives.
